On our trip to Tennessee, we had a lot on our agenda. Visiting 3 towns, we enjoyed tons of attractions. This meant that by the end of each day, we were exhausted! When looking for a hotel, we were looking for something with comfortable beds, plenty of room, and a nice list of amenities for an affordable price. We found this at the Tremont Lodge and Resort.
A Little Room To Relax
When we got to our room at the Tremont Lodge, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. So many hotels are dirty, dingy, and dismal. Unlike these, the lodge was large and spacious.
Our room had two king beds and a separate room with a living area. Each room featured a large TV, dresser, and beautiful artwork.
The bathroom had two sinks, one outside the private area and one in. This was great when I wanted to do my makeup in the mornings without the steam of Nathaniel’s showers! The room also had a large open closet that would be great for extended stays.
Added touches like the teddy bear towels made the hotel that much more inviting.
Perfect for Events
The room was not the only thing that attracted my attention. The hotel grounds have ample places and opportunities to be a beautiful venue.
With a large building perfect for wedding receptions and a huge field with an outdoor theater, there are plenty of diverse places to have large events or just gather a group. The cool, mountainous setting was absolutely stunning and was perfect for a relaxing morning walk for Nathaniel and me.
A Personal Touch
Now, while the hotel itself was quiet, peaceful, beautiful, and every bit as great as I could have hoped, this was not my favorite part. My favorite part was a minute detail that was the perfect homey touch. The Bible that was in the room on one of the TV stands was opened to a page with a highlighted verse. The verse was Acts 2:38:
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
To say the least, I loved this added touch. Whether it was from the hotel or not, I am not sure, but it was a pleasant detail that put a smile on my face!
