NATIONAL CARE BEAR SHARE YOUR CARE DAY Posted on September 9, 201614 Comments

September 9th marks a very special day for Care Bear fans! Since 1983, Care Bears have been teaching kids of all ages different positive ways to approach life. September 9th is a big day for the bears, complete with Twitter parties. trending hashtags, and their remarkable #shareyourcareoath:

On my honor, I hereby declare:

I’ll take part of the movement of Share Your Care.

Caring, sharing, and best friends we’ll be,

When we create a Share Your care family.

Hand in hand, heart to heart,

From this day forward, I am willing to start!

Ambassadors from coast to coast,

spreading the message to those who need it most!

Care Bears encourage everyone to take part in Share Your Care Day by showing at least one act of kindness and even sharing your experience with the hashtag #shareyourcare. Spreading the love is a great way to make our country a better place! Below I am going to share some of our favorite acts of kindness to show love to our family, friends, and community!

Paying At The Drive Through

An awesome way to show your love for a complete stranger is to pay for the person behind you in line at your favorite fast food drive through. In order to tell people about this national holiday, we even have a free note for the people you paid for. Just print the image below and leave it with the worker to give to the people behind you!

A seriously fun way to show kindness is to give something away. From strangers to neighbors, share some baked goods or take someone out to eat. I always say the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach!

Big Tips

If you go out to eat, leave a big tip for your waiter/waitress. He or she will remember it, and you could even leave a note for her to recruit a new ambassador!

Mommy Love

As I am about to enter the world of motherhood, I love the idea of gifts from my kid, including anything from cleaning their room to the art they create. If you are a mom, show your love for your kids by showing your appreciation or displaying their art. These things will make Mommy happy and the kids feeling loved!

Even though I covered sharing food, it is completely different to give to those in need. Food banks everywhere are happy to take in donations, as well as Salvation Army and Goodwill. Stop by a local charity and bless them with your donations. Something as small as ordering off your Amazon account on can make a difference!

Loving Notes

If you want to show your love for your spouse, leave cute notes or send him/her sweet texts. This is one of my personal favorites to do randomly; it lets your loved one know you care and love them!

Say Cheese!

Smiling at people is a surprising way to brighten their day. When there are so many people rushing around, taking a moment to show a stranger some love and joy will surely brighten their day.

Garbage Cleaner

Show your care for your community by picking up some trash. A cleaner, healthier environment is a great benefit for everybody.

Care Bears thank you for your participation is this spectacular holiday! Becoming a #ShareYourCare ambassador is a big deal that can make a huge difference! Leave a comment below with how you plan on sharing your care!

  1. What a sweet idea to do. I love Care Bears. I love your suggestion about smiling to people. I love doing that in the area where I live where the median age is 70+. So many elderly seem to not have much to smile about due to illness, loss of spouse, etc. A smile sometimes makes their day. Thanks for sharing and making me smile.

  2. The Care Bears have a lovely theme, and I love them. I believe the wholesomeness of this campaign revives what we are currently missing in our lives. National Care Bear Share Care Day should be every day!

  3. I grew up watching Care Bears 🙂
This is such a good cause. I will definitely do my part and will pay it forward. Someone’s going to get a treat when I go have my next drive-thru. Either that or I’ll get someone a nice, warm cup of coffee.

  4. I love Care Bears and my daughter has so many of them, they will never go out of style, and nor will doing a good deed for someone. I like the idea of this, thanks so much for sharing, I had no idea this was even a thing!

  5. I share my care by sharing meals with my neighbor who sometimes is hard on his luck. The Nation Care Bear Share Care Day is indeed a great idea and it is a wonderful way to make a difference in this world. Thanks for sharing and spreading care with love.

  6. Omg what a great campaign message!!!!! I just love the Care Bears!!! I’m always trying to help whenever I can! Even the smallest of gestures can help so
